Which food/ treats are good and healthy for guinea pigs?

My guinea pig is about 5 months old and I want to get her a healthy, yummy food. Which food and treats are good?

My Rocky will eat just about anything he can get to, he's even taken tortilla chips when I wasn't looking:) But I don't think that that's safe so, I give him celery it's his favorite.

the healthiest thing you could probably gve them is a bit of freshvegetables e.g. carrot, lettuce ect

My piggy loves her tomatos and lettuce and now I have introduced her to sweetcorn and she loves that too. She's been dragging it around and nibbling on the cob all day.

Try feeding your piggy a little salad plate with nice fresh veggies that are safe for her to eat, like carrots, tomatoes and some nice lettuce.

For basic diet a guinea pig needs an unlimited supply of timothy hay, some quality pellets, and a variety of fresh veggies daily.

For the pellets, try Oxbow or Kleenmama's. All the other brands are junk food - unhealthy (and potentially dangerous). Oxbow and KM also do the best hay too.

Don't bothr wasting your money on treats from a pet store. These are really unhealthy. Most are really high in sugar. Some contain lots of small seeds (a choking hazard). Others contain dairy products that piggies can't digest.

The best treats for piggies are fruits and veggies. Veggies should be given daily anyway. Fruit (being high in sugar) is best limited to small amounts up to twice per week - so great for treats! My pigs love strawberries!

lettuce bananas and also some celery ...things like that but try to only give your guinea pig a good amount of citrus fruit because they can choke... so veggies and fruit are good healty little snakes for your loveabloe animal

I don't give mine treats because I haven't found anything that is good for them at the petstore. If there are no available, healthy treats, don't give them to your guinea pig. They won't know the difference and they will be healthy. Remember guinea pigs can't have nuts or seeds. They can't have any dairy products and nothing that is sweet. if you find a suitable treat, let me know.
