Which foot goes in front in a track start?? ?

Im tryin to figure out which foot I should put forward for my 40 yard dash

  1. You want to put your strongest foot forward so you can get the best push off to get started.  Usually, if you're right handed it will also be your right foot.


  2. Okay stand somewhere and fall forward. See wether your left or right foot catches you automatically. Don't think about it, a foot will just save you by reflex. Do it 3 times, and whichever foot lands forward the majority of times is your starting foot. Also, try each foot to start, and see which one is more comfortable and fastest.

  3. It's whatever foot you are comfortable with stepping on first.  There is not a set rule.   You set the blocks to how you like them.
