  1. If you've ever read the Bible you would know it says. 1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. 2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. 4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. 5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the eveninga and the morning were the first day.

6 And God said, Let there be a firmamentb in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. 7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so. 8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.

9 And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so. 10 And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good. 11 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grassc, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so. 12 And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good. 13 And the evening and the morning were the third day.

14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the dayd from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: 15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. 16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the daye, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. 17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, 18 And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good. 19 And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.

The Bible is the best book to learn about history and science.

  2. Most likely stars formed first and produced collections of galaxies - protogalaxies.

The structure of galaxies in the universe resembles a large number of massive scale filaments, connecting super clusters of galaxies.

The Great Attractor is a gravity anomaly indicating the equivalent of several 100,000 milkyway like galaxies.

  3. i believe stars cuz galaxy is  formed of stars..!!

  4. Ask your great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great  greatgreat great great great great great great great great great great great  grandfather maybe he knows the answer.

  5. stars formed first, great attractor is gravity, structure of the universe, in theory, is an expanding 4 dimmensional space.

excuse me... did someone actually say the bible is the best place to learn about science and history?! are you kidding me? the bible is completely untrue. almost nothing is correct. please don't listen to that person. science and religion don't go together well. they are best left seperate. that is one of the stupidest statements i have ever heard. i don't see newton's law of universal gravitation anywhere in the bible!

  6. i would have thought stars, because they make up the galaxies - i think

  7. a galaxy is just a collection of stars...

  8. In my opinion there is no first or last when it comes to these stuffs. Just like space, time is also unlimited or indefinite. It's just that we don't live forever we calculate.

  9. stars i think

  10. We don't know for sure yet the answer the first two questions, but...

    "Gravity" is the great attractor...

  11. Current theories on galaxy formation have shown that if the bulk of galaxies in the universe were simply formed by the congregation of previously formed stars, the galaxys themselves may never have formed in the first place. Instead it is thought that the "spark of galactic life" so to speak is a supermassive black-hole the prescence of which causes an immense turbulance which thereby assits in the formation of stars.

so Stars probably came first but it took black-holes for the majority of galaxies to form.

The structure of the universe is something a little hard to understand simply because it is posited to be comprised of four or more spatial dimensions, and also "flat" meaning that it will most likely keep expanding forever.

Finally, The great attractor is a region of space around the constellation of centaurus which is most likely comprised of 10 times or more the mass of all visible matter of the local group, meaning that it is most likely made up of dark matter.  The influence of the Great Attractor is causing many galaxies (including the milky-way) to accelerate toward it at around 600 - thousands of kilometers per second.
