Which frequency range is better?

I am looking at 2 different wireless headphones one has a frequency range of 14 - 24,000 Hz and the other is 100 - 4,000 Hz

does the frequency range effect the sound quality?

  1. YES! the wider the range the better you ears can hear from at least 40Hz to 16,000 HZ  if old and doddery but if you are young without age damaged ears you can hear from 15Hz to 22,000 Hz.

    get  the 14 24,000 Hz as they match your ears the others will be cheap poor quality ones that will sound like you're listening under water!

    100 - 4,000 Hz is similar to telephone line quality on a bad day!


  2. Are you comparing like with like? If they are both audio frequency range, then the wider the better i.e. 14-24,000Hz. But you have to be sceptical about that range because more people's hearing range does not extend to that. The 100-4,000Hz is so bad that one wonders if that is right.
