I was having a bowl of cheerios this morning and noticed it had 2 grams of fiber per serving. Then I noticed based on a 2000 calorie diet, the recommended daily amount of fiber is 23 or 25 grams....that's a lot of bowls of cereal, which is why I was wondering.

  1. this is a very helpful blog, http://freeweightlosstips4u.blogspot.com...

  2. http://www.thefruitpages.com/contents.sh... look at this but i see it as berries have the most fiber

  3. all of them

  4. Berries are high in fiber as well as the forgotten guava. Most people don't know that guava has the most fiber per serving, than any other fruit. Don't forget about dried fruits..their lack of water concentrates their fiber content, so reach for the raisins, dried apricots, figs, dates and prunes.

Almost all fruit is high in fiber. You get alot more if you eat the skin. Resist peeling apples, plums, peaches...they're much better for you if you eat their jackets.

  5. Apples, grapefruit, grapes, oranges, papaya, pineapple, strawberries, raspberries, pears, peaches, and watermelon have a good source of fiber, but make sure that when you eat them don't take off the skin because that's where a majority of the fiber is.

Another good idea to get fiber with fruit is a bowl of oatmeal. You can add fruits, nuts, different kinds of seeds to add lots of fiber, and of course sugar to sweeten it up if you would like.
