cod4 is a great shooter game while madden is for those who prefer  to play sports over shooters. They are two different categories of games.  i love cod4 and i'm waiting to get madden.

One is a great wonderful shooter, and the other is a good football game. Decide which genre you want.

If you're asking because you plan to choose one, BUY BOTH. Call of Duty 4 is the best multiplayer game on Xbox 360, and has awesomo graphics. I bought Madden 09 for PS3 and it looks awesome as well. But Call of Duty 4 is what you'll be playing more.

Call of duty 4 is suc ha better game . I know that they are two different types of games but call of duty 4 is so much more exciting and intense . You can actully play with more then 1 friend . Madden is good dont get me rong but its always the samw thing every year its a waste of 60 bucks . You will only be playing it for like 2 weeks then youll get bored . just rent it 2 weeks in a row youll save 45 bucks . but cod4 you will be playingfor months . trust me cod 4 in better . Its game of the year for a reason . i doubt madden will even be in top 5 for game of the year this year

i own call of duty 4 and have owned almost all maddens besides '09. you cant really compare two games of such different genres. if your looking for a game you'll be playing for a long time, try COD4. if your more of a sports-gamer, get madden. your choice
