EA Sports saw FIFA 12 and FIFA Street drop down to third and second place respectively, with the Witcher 2 making an impact in the charts as well.
It has been another week of video game wheeling and dealing and the landscape of the software sales charts has changed quite a bit from how it was seven days.
Activision’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 falls to its lowest ever position in the United Kingdom’s software sales chart as it hangs on to a spot in the top ten, albeit barely. The game has seen its overall sales fall over the past couple of weeks, yet with a number of DLC Packs on their way, one can expect to see those figures pick up later on.
Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games may be one of the longest titles for a video game and those extra few breaths of air needed to say the game’s name seem to have taken their toll on the sales of the game, which have fallen to ninth place.
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is still hanging on in the charts and it seems Bethesda’s timely release of the tool kit has kept interest in the game alive.
Battlefield 3 spends another week above Modern Warfare 3 and Tiger Woods PGA Tour 13 slips down one place to sixth position.
Starting things off with the top five now and Sam Shepard occupies fifth spot with Mass Effect 3, while Kinect Star Wars mad excellent use of the force in boosting its sales figures over the past few weeks as it jumps into fourth place.
FIFA 12 continues its run in the top three by finishing third for another week in the table while FIFA Street is finding life a little less than comfortable in the streets of ‘second place’.
That could only mean that the Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings debuted at number one in the charts. The game has been praised by gamers and critics alike and is one of Namco Bandai’s finer pieces of work.
