  1. They don't. Cars wouldn't run.

Drive slower, stay off the freeway, you'll burn less fuel.

  2. I've been having trouble with that too.  Some tanks do real good and then the next one the car won't hardly run.  I think they are all doing something.  I know in Texas they use 10% ethanol...it says so right on the pump..  you can add ethanol additives that will mix with the water so you can burn it and get rid of it...

  3. Coca-cola puts gas in their drinks.

  4. peoples gas...?

  5. I think some might. In Gonzales, Louisiana they have signs at gas stations that say 100% Gas.

  6. the gas companies dont " water down their gas" but dillute small amounts of liquid in the gasoline and the only companies that do that are gulf and hess. but mostly its the smaller no-name brands that do that the most.

  7. Chevron - Their gas is half gas, half Pepsi.

Exxon - Their gas contains a mysterious lemon-flavored substance.

Shell - I don't know what's in it, but my lawnmower broke when I filled it up with their gas.

Valero - I have trouble accelerating when I see a pedestrian crossing the street in front of me. I'm pretty sure it's a problem with their gas.

Fina - Their attendant dresses up like a clown, so I don't trust their gas.

Texaco - Their gas tastes "salty".

  8. I think all gas companys are low on the totem pole, but I don't really think they are that low, however?

  9. You can't water down gas.

First of all, water does not mix well with gasoline.

Second, if you do have water in your gasoline, more than a trace amount, your car will not run.

edit:  You can water down ETHANOL, so I suppose E85 or higher that might be possible.

But again, your car won't run right.  Also, state regulators tend to frown upon stuff like that.  If you want to be put out of business, that is definitely one way to do it.

  10. I don't think any companies water down their gasoline, that would be a really big legal case if somebody found out.
