Which gender is better for training rats?

Question

i am getting rats very soon, and i want to try training a rat, but its not for sure. but, im just wondering, which gender is better for training, and easier?

It really depends more on the individual rat than the gender.

In the past, I had 2 marvelous females that were very trainable.

Out of the 4 rats I have now (2 females, 2 males), it's the males that are easier to 'train'.

I've never heard of either gender being easier to train, both are quite intelligent. The main differences are that girls are smaller, and much more WIRED. :P They don't enjoy sitting on your lap as much as boys, they love to explore and run about. They'll hang out with you for a little bit, then they'll be off again. Boys are more lazy, and will lay on you and love to be scratched! :} They'll usually go explore, then come over and stretch out on your lap.

As for training, though, both are very trainable.
