Which golf bag?

I am getting a new golf bag, and I was considering the stand-up bag, but I noticed that the Cart bag had more pockets and looked like it had a lot more features. Both bags are the same models. Which is best?

Hey get a taylormade stand bag...i have one and it has tons of pockets and its lite, has backpack straps (very cozy even after a round),  and looks good!

It really depends on how you will use the bag.  If you walk and carry your bag purchase the lighter bag will fewer features.

If you use a pull cart or drive a motorized cart you can use the bag with the more features.

Honestly, any stand bag will have enough space for a couple dozen balls, and all your accessories.  If you walk or use a pull cart at all, go with the stand bag.

While I own both a cart (staff size) bag and a stand bag, I find the stand bag is more practical.

One other consideration- if you travel (flying) the stand bag weighs less, which is a good thing given the weight limits.  And if you do travel by air...get a hard-side case.  Trust me.

Not sure how much stuff you put into your golf bag, but beyond (at most) 2 dozen balls, tees/ballmarkers/divot tool (I have all this stuff in a zipper bag (quart size), an extra towel (good for morning rounds if it's dewy), a mini sharpie (for marking your ball), and some medicinal stuff (sunscreen, bug repellent, advil, etc.), not sure what else you'd need to put in there (all this easily fits into my lightweight carry bag).

In terms of carry bags...Titleist makes very good ones, the Ping Hoofer is wonderful, and a guy I play with has a Taylor Made and likes it.

To get the fullest enjoyment from golf, and to play your best you really should walk the course - so get the lightweight stand bag.  But if the course where you most often play forces you to ride a cart to generate revenue then the cart bag will work best for that situation.
