I read that Pro V1s are softer; yet, I have found that Pro V1xs spin more with my wedges. Has anyone experienced similar results?

  1. Test results given by the manufacturer are often from "ideal" circumstances, or even from golf robot testing. As you can imagine, this leaves a little wiggle room for many players' games. Personally, I believe what I see for myself. If you spin it well with the ProV1x, so be it.

  2. pro v1  more dimples and softer cover means more spin

  3. The ProV1x's are designed for a lower ball flight with less spin, but with a soft feel around the green.  They are made for players with a very high clubhead speed that generate way to much spin for a normal ProV1.  I have found this to be true every time I have played them.  I like the regular ProV's because of thier softer feel and playability, and the nice touch that they provide around the greens.

  4. According to the latest issue of Golf Magazine the Pro V1x spins more than the Pro V1.  Pro V1x-12,299 rpm and the Pro V1- 11,914 rpm.
