  1. Take notice of what I have to say regarding your clubs.  I can save you a lot of time - not money - and recommend that you go out online to www.touredge.com and find their distributor nearest you.  You can get what is arguably the best club for the money through them. 3-PW, a driver, and a fairway wood will cost you $500.00!

Please do not waste time at the "big box stores" if you want to be a regular player- you will just be disappointed..

    Good luck!

  2. I would not buy clubs from target or wal-mart

  3. The second one from Sports Authority. It looks the coolest and it is the best made. Walmart and Target make not so good golf clubs.

  4. I definitely wouldn't go to Target or Wal-Mart!  I've been playing since I could walk, and I started low and built up to a good set.  The best places I've found clubs were at big sales held at fairgrounds, so I'd check that first.  Next, every golf store like Golfsmith has used clubs that you can test out first right there in the store to see what you like.  They have all ranges of prices and you have a great selection to choose from!

  5. I went to the flea market and got the biggest one I could find and it was only 1 doller.  I had to get the biggest one because I use it to hit the beer cans out of my yard and into the woods.  I can get pretty good range with a beer can, the club I bought has a graphite shaft or something.

  6. Go to callaway preowned and buy a set of graphite clubs.  You will be hitting good clubs and saving money.

  7. All these people are wrong.  First off... if you are just getting started in golf, you don't need to try the clubs out (assuming you are average height).  Swinging a $500 driver compared to a $50 dollar one... if I hand you both I bet you won't be able to tell the difference.

I agree... I wouldn't get a set of clubs at Wallmart or Target.  Go visit your local d**k's Sporting Goods and have someone who has some knowledge help you out.  I use to work there and they had beginner sets (Acuity & Slazenger) for about $179.  Comes with the driver, fairway woods, complete irons 3-pm (not just the #5, 7, 9...  you definitely don't want that!)  That set will last you a while.  Good luck!!

  8. if you enjoy playing golf and will play for years to come, do yourself a favor and buy a set of ping irons they are expensive about $1000.00 but they should be the last set of clubs you will have to buy, the driver and 3, 5 woods buy separately around $200 for each.

  9. You need to go to the store and try them all out because different one's work for different ppl.  My dad, we tried to buy him one last year, and he had to go and try them out.

  10. None, buy a guitar and learn to play some music, lol.
