I'm trying to buy a new set of irons, and I'm deciding between the TaylorMade R7's or the PING G10's. Which one should I get? What have you guys heard about them? Does anyone have either type?

  1. I use Clevelands...I havent tried either of the other two..why not rent a set and play a round....most places will let you do that.

  2. First off, don't listen to what someone else may like.  You need to decide which club feels better during your swing.  I have been assembling, and repairing golf clubs for over 26 yrs and I will tell you this.  TaylorMade are good golf clubs, but ping will adjust loft and lie for you at no cost, just the cost of shipping....  So my opinion, go with what will work for you...

  6. if this is ur first set thats a pretty expensive brand. usually u can get the full iron set but if your going for specific ones try the pitching wedge, sand wedge, 3 iron , 9 iron and something in between. I've won quite a few holes by just using a standard putter, a 3 wood and a six iron

  7. I prefer Ping
