Which gps system is better

i narrowed it down to these two

Garmin makes a good GPS. I have a hand held Garmin and a dash mounted Lowrance. The Lowrance never looses it's signal like the Garmin, but I can walk around with the Garmin.

I would recommend the Tom Tom one because it is more interactive than the Gamin one....unless if you don't want to hear someone talking all the time...then the Gamin one is better

If you know what you're doing, go with Garmin (I love mine).  If you're less technically proficient, go with the TomTom
