  1. even though it depend on the actual cartiride as where small people load the .500 SW magnum with low recoil powder but on the factory loads the .500SW magnum has a clear edge and to give a perspective that its no question for SW magnum to archive one shot kill on a surefire level for even elephants and bears and I'm sure even a whale will have some trouble with it too but its a choice mostly since the .50AE on a Desert eagle can do that too most the time but since the only mathematical indication of a bullet stopping power is its kionetic engery and the ability of that round to use that to archive the largest hole in a given target smith and wesson is still leading to the surprize of many of them here and elsewhere it is posible to make 6kJ on smith and wesson magnum with largerer grain lupa rounds with dangerous vitravohari 20n29 powders which is a distant second to the most powerfull yet as of 2008 civilian round also called as the great .50BMG which carry upto 20kJ on the same powder. If you are on a killing sprree and is trying to kill some millatary armor with even just one shot get the SWmagnum or else get the DE for its super looks and there is no largerer deifferance with .50AE and .500SW magum rounds with respective to the guns metioned above. Get the DE right now since its a whole package!

  2. A 70 caliber desert eagle pistol can literally shoot through the ceramic armour on an Abrams tank. Besides, almost all automatics are more powerful than revolvers. Have you ever heard of a colt 1911 or a

    browning hi power?

  3. The .500 S&W Magnum is more powerful.  Currently it is the most powerful commercially available handgun.

  4. well the .500 is much more powerful than the .50 ae but i still prefer the .460 s&w over both

  5. Both are c**p guns

  6. 500 magnum.

And lets not forget the 480 Ruger in hand killers that are available.

  7. They both take your freaking head out... I personally like the Desert Eagle though

  8. First of all, the Desert Eagle is the most overpriced piece of junk made.  I had to get that outta the way, ok.  There is no comparison in power levels between the .50AE and the .500 S&W, it would be like a .38 special compared to a .44 mag. There are several more powerful handgun cartridges than the .50AE, although if you got a revolver chambered in .50AE, it would be a lot better, namely the BFR or Freedom Arms line of single action revolvers, but I agree with the guy above me, I'd take a .460 S&W over both.

  9. The 500 S&W is the more powerful round, they say it is the most powerful handgun round. the 50 Action Express doesn't come close to the power of the 500, and many of the other handgun cartridges today are more powerful than it.

  10. The Desert Eagle is chambered in (amongst other things) the .50 Action Express cartridge, which has an average velocity of 1300 fps and kinetic energy of 1200 ft/lbs

The .500 S&W has velocities around 1600 fps and kinetic energy between 2,000 and 2,600 ft/lbs, depending on the load.

So the .500 literally blows the Desert Eagle away.

  11. why those when you can saw of a nitro express

  12. From owning a Desert Eagle .50AE I would have to say it is just a worthless pistol. I had better reliablity with a Ruger SuperRedhawk .44mag at less than half the price of the D.E. .50AE. The .44mag even outperformed the .50AE on the target range.

The 500 S&W has alot more power behind it than Desert Eagle could ever hope for. The .460 Smith is also a nice piece but for now I'm happy with my .44 mag.

Whoever thinks the Desert Eagle is a good handgun never fired one and needs to have their head examined.
