  1. Any of the three rifles you mentioned would work fine for rabbits, squirrels, and targets. You should pick the one that feels the best and that you are most comfortable with when you handle it.

As for the .22LR, .17 HMR, or .22 WMR question, that's really a matter of preference. Personally I'd go with the .22LR, but that's just me. That's because the .22 LR will by far be the least expensive to shoot and it will have enough power for rabbits and squirrels out to 100 yards. Both the .17 HMR and the .22 WMR will shoot flatter than the .22LR at longer ranges due to their higher muzzle velocity. That will let you push the range envelope for squirrels and rabbits out to 125-maybe 150 yards. If you simply wanted a hunting rifle, that might make it worthwhile to get a rifle chambered in one of those two rounds despite the fact they often retail for 3-4 times the cost of .22LR ammunition. However if you're going to shoot a lot of ammunition target shooting, the .22LR starts looking really, really attractive.

  2. what can you afford?

.22lr is the best all round for the job you are doing. you can get subsonic rounds- less than 1100fps, to hyper velocity- upwards of 2000fps. and pennies per shot, you cannot go broke

  3. Invest a little more money and get a super accurate 22 rifle that you will enjoy and be pleased with the rest of your life. Nothing you can do to boost your confidence when taking that shot at game, is to have a 22 that will stack bullets at 50 plus yards- You know if you miss, it was your fault and not the gun. I have found two guns that will do this, and I am sure that there are others, but these are under $700 and in my price range- The Kimber target 22 and the CZ. Make the initial investment and get one of these guns, and you will never be disappointed.Good luck!

  4. 410 shotgun

  5. Of the rifles you listed I only have experience with the Remington Model 5

Which is really a Zastava import that used to be imported by Charles Daly

Personally I would cross it off the list

  6. Either rifle is a great choice, get the one that fits you best. Get the 22 magnum, you'll enjoy it more and it costs less to shoot than 17hmr.

REPORT the little girl who wants you to shoot yourself, I DID!

  7. A bb-gun if thats the bigest game your gonna shoot! So get a reall rifle and shoot sum stuff that you can eat like doves, hogs, and deer.

  8. Ruger 10/22 is actually ur best choice. its a .22lr rifle that is amazingly accurate and is very durable. u can also put an assorment of accesorize and stocks on it. retail price is like $250 give or take 10 or 20. depends where u get it. i say .22lr is the best cause its cheap easy to find(target sells the ammo for heaven sakes). it does everything the .17 and other .22 can do. i own a ruger 10/22 and i will never sell the thing cause it is just that great of a gun.

or semi-automatic (you will need to buy it used)http://www.remington.com/library/history...

I'd stick with the .22 rifles... but bolt action is the way to go..

  10. the one that kills the fASTEST

  11. A .22 rimfire.  Remington or the Mossberg are good choices.
