Which hair dye brand will not damage my hair and will last for only a couple weeks?

Im thinking about buying an over the counter hair dye. My hair color is black and I want to dye my hair so that it's dark brown. I never colored my hair before and i was wondering if anyone can reccomend a brand for me. I was deciding between Loreal paris or feria. i dont really know the difference between the two. I dont really want the dye to last that long incase i decide that i dont like it.

theres this brand called "natural instincts" and it is a semi-permanent dye that only last 28 washes. It doesn"t ruin ur hair and i can tell u 4rm experience that it will fade out. Feria is also an ok brand but i reccomend using natural instincts 4 ur first time

They usually all last the same amount of time, I wouldn't recommend Feria because it turned my hair blue...I love L'Oreal Paris Excellence Cream...I think its called...It's makes my hair so shiny afterwords, and the color is so vibrant and beautiful!! But there are also other semi-permanent dyes that I can't remember the name of...But think of this...What if you do like it and it's only semi-permanent?

If you are going to go from black to lighter color the only way to do that would be with a product that has peroxide or some other lightening agent in it. which would not "wash" out you would have to wait until it grows out or dye back as closely as possible to your natural color. The only thing you could really do Is to add a semi permanent color to your hair witch will probably do nothing more than give your hair a different hue. Or go permanent. I suggest consulting with your stylist. If you don't have one get one. It well worth the money to not have screwed up hair. One more thing pretty much any hair color is going to damage your hair its just the amount of damage that is different. The only one that wouldn't would be one that washes out the next time you shampoo.... Just hope you don't get caught in the rain with no umbrella.

there's this stuff, it's by loreal i think.  It's called moisture active or something like that.  It's temporary and it actually moisturizes your hair rather than damaging it.  I like it a lot.

i think that if you dnt have blonde then you should die it blonde lol
