Which hardware would have a better sound quality for vonage??.....?

I'm thinking of getting vonage, which type of hardware will have better sound quality, the wifi phone (the UTstarcom) or the voip phone adapter that they give you to connect your touch phone with?

with the Uniden 1868V....its a VoIP phone with build-in router and firewall...

It does not matter what equipment you have when you use Vonage. The thing that gives you better sound quality is your internet speed. The better the internet speed the less compression needed and in turn you will have better sound quality. If you have a good internet just go into the dashboard and bump the voice path to 90K and you have sound that is more clear than POTS lines. hope that helps out.
