  1. http://www.themagicjack.ca/

look the site for more info.

  2. Skype , Skype to Skype is free no matter where the users are in the world !

  3. Skype does not qualify as a home phone replacement phone service, because it does not have 911 access.

But, as a Long Distance phone service, then I would say Skype over Vonage, hands down.

For even cheaper International rates, you may want to check out Gizmo Project (Gizmo5).

  4. I know you asked about vonage or skype. I am not a Skype customer, I have been with Vonage for almost 2 years.

Vonage offers International Rates as low as 1 cent per minute! With the Residential Premium Unlimited Plan you also get FREE calls to Europe - Italy, France, Spain, UK and Ireland.  Cost is $25 to $40 a month.

    For Vonage Rates Visit: http://www.vonage.com/intrates.php?lid=n...

So far for Skype I have seen U.S. and U.K. at $0.00 per minute.

Now I don't know if you have heard of the MagicJack yet and I know you didn't ask about it I just thought I would share this with you. CosT: $20 per year / $45 Startup

YMAX Founder, Dan Borislow, has invented the magicJack allowing monthly phone charges to be virtually eliminated. He believes with savings of approximatly $1,000 a year off your typical phone bill and magicJack has crystal clear voice quality.

Regarding MagicJack; like all companies or gadgets you will have setbacks and drawbacks.

    1) LIMITED area code choices - I live in Illinois and Chose a CALIFORNIA number so I got an invite to Grandcentral.com and got a local number that simultaniously rings to my MagicJack. also if you get a MagicJack and your friends get MagicJacks it doesn't matter because you will have FREE unlimited calling in the US.

    2) call forwarding to a number of your choice is good - I use my cell phone.

    3) customer Service is a downfall though BUT they do their best - This is a TRUE story - I had the MagicJack for 5 days and couldn't get to work and i had 14 tech support conversations. After the 14th one, I went to the other computer (which was logged in under our son's account) I plugged the MagicJack in and POOF it worked!!! So from there I figured out that in order to use the MagicJack you have to have a "LIMITED" user account on a computer. I was trying to install this item on "ADMINISTRATOR" user accounts. To prove that I wasn't crazy I created a NEW account and called it "MagicJackUser" and made it a "LIMITED" account and before you know it it WOKED!!!

I hope this helps out a bit
