Which has a bigger carbon footprint- plastic utensils, or disposable chopsticks?

this is an article about chopsticks in case you're like, "duh, plastic utensils", which was my first reaction too.

  3. yeah chopsticks are much worse for the environment and not just because of the carbon footprint. Millions are trees are cut down to make these disposable chopsticks which are used only once. plastic utensils (or plastic chopsticks) take less carbon to make and are potentially reusable and recyclable. cutting down trees not only produces carbon but also causes erosion, desertification, loss of biodiversity and loss of an important carbon removing organism
