Job Oppurtunites .means how many different industries has diffrent opening for you at diffrent level of the heirarchy depending upon their requirment.

Mechanichal engineering  is better as u wont end up being a course specific and it would be easier for you to pursue post graduation in Either MBA or something else if u happen to feel in future of doing the same.

Joining the course of  aeronotical mainitenance  engineer.u would become  a sector specifc  prooduct.more over though u have good renumeration at the initial Jobs , but the growth is limited.

But in the end it all depends upon your personal prefrence , if u inclined towards aeronotical maintenance engineering then u should give it a shot, because in the end only that thing matters ,which gives u utmost satisfaction.

With aircraft engineering you've pigeon holed yourself within the aerospace industry, if you go into mech eng you can get your qualifications and choose to go into whatever field suits you. Either way both industries are a sound career path.
