Which has more rush hour traffic, tappan zee bridge or george washington bridge?

Take the tappen zee bridge. The cross Bronx expressway that leads to the GW is always, no matter what time of day, backed up. The tappen zee usually has had  a lot less traffic in my experiences.

You're screwed.   There is no traffic on either bridge,   but either would be a wonderful place to mark prices on cars and see what you could get for them.   Why is it called "rush hour"  if no one can be in a hurry?

Suggest,  for your sanity and fuel mileage,  taking in a movie and coming through a couple of hours later.

Hands down GWB (George Washington Bridge). especially during rush hr.  Many truck drivers will find a place to park or run I287 across the Tappan Zee.  It runs about 30-40mi longer, but you running more consistently than on I95, & unless you are pulling a trailer, the 1st toll booth you may see is when you get on the NJTP @exit 10.

I am a truck driver on a dedicated account.  We use to have a run from New Castle, DE to Springfield, MA that picked up around 4am or so.  If we ran across the GWB, we were lucky to make it by teh 11am delivery time.  The Tappan Zee route added about 40mi to the run, but most of the time, we had time to stop & take a quick break before heading into the customer, which we weren't able to do crossing the GW.  Hope I helped!!
