  1. S ... sulfur has an electron config of 3P4, that's 2 unpaired electrons in the three P-orbitals Px(ii) Py (i ) Pz (i )

    S+ has lost one out of the pair , & so has 3 unpaired:

    in the three P-orbitals Px(i ) Py (i ) Pz (i )

    S- has take one extra electron & so has only 1 unpaired:

    in the three P-orbitals Px(ii) Py (ii) Pz (i )

    your answer is : S+
