Which head unit would u prefer for me please?

i am comparing the ALPINE 9887 with the PIONEER PREMIER 700BT

I like both brands and i also seen videos and i am impressed with both

but i want to get a head unit that is worth buying. any recommendations please

i'd have to go with the alpine although the pioneer comes in a very close 2nd.

both have great capabilities in a din chassis but the kicker for me was the alpines DAC. 24-bit DAC vs the pioneers 1-bit DAC.

i've owned a couple of HU's, alpine and pioneer included and i've always preferred alpine. sweet sounding, very transparent and loaded with features (useful features at that).

i'm sure both HU's will make you happy but in my opinion... alpine is the way to go.

BOTH of those head units are great. They are going to sound about the same so what it comes down to is...which one has the most to offer you as far as price, warranty, features, etc. Buy what makes YOU happy. It's your money and you are going to have to be happy with what's in your ride.

my kenwood has great features, and it will play cd's that look like they were in a dj scratch contest.  all my cd's are scratched bad, and it rarely skips

the only 2 Hu's ive ever bought were alpine and pioneer they are both good companys and make good products. the alpine have a better cleaner sound and a better eq in my opinion so i would go with the alpine.

plus that other guy did some research so yeah go with the alpine

id go for the pioneer. they are very similar units but the pioneer has built in bluetooth. check the price for the Alpine adapter its like 150+ most people don't care but i live in cali and we can't have cell phones in cars. so get the most features built in as you can because add ons are costly. i think the pioneer has the usb hook up too. which is a BIG bonus
