  1. apache carries more payload and is better equipped by the electronics.

Apache also has better ATGM hellifre when comared to  the TOW  of cobra.

last but not least, cobras have been continuously upgraded to reach the apache standard by the ah1z version.

    result: apache

  2. The Apache is more technologically advanced so I'd say the Apache is better in most cases.

  3. in my opinon, the Apache. its got more capability, plus the cobra looks g*y.

  4. Well, the Cobra is certainly less advanced and less capable overall.....but an Apache pilot spends much of the time head's in while a Cobra pilot has less to tend to inside and can spend his time looking outside.  From a helicopter pilot's view, the Cobra would be way more fun to fly.  So, if I'm flying, I'd take a Cobra......if someone else is flying for me, I'd take the Apache.

  5. Dude the Apache longbow will pwn/kill/obliterate/and destroy 3 cobras at once in a split second with an engine out, battle damage, and a pilot knocked out.

  6. Appache!

  7. They are both good in their own ways, but the cobra is better suited to anti insurgency. The apache is a tank killer and is extremely heavily armored, and it can be ill suited to urban fighting. There have been a few times documented where apaches have been recalled and the lighter kiowa has been sent in to finish a job because the kiowa can avoid rpg's much easier.

  8. "The AD-64D Apache Longbow is the most lethal, survivable, deployable and maintainable multimission helicopter in the world."

  9. the cobra was the worlds first designed and dedicated attack helicopter. it continues to serve in many countries. The Marines still use the Super Cobra variant. The Apache is, of course, the replacement. It has a lot of power, greater sensor capabilities, armor, heat signature reducing technology, yadda yadda. It is larger, and as we learned during the current war, not nearly as bullet proof as we thought. While it has all of that, teh Cobra still has a few advantages. Looking at it dead on, it is a very slim copter. This was by design to minimize its profile. Harder to shoot at from the front or rear. It is lighter, and manueuvers well. By and large, the Cobra is the daddy, and on the way out. It is also an easier plastic model to build ;) .Its like asking if a WWII carrier is better than a modern Nimitz class. But the fact that it is still a relvant platform after its debut int he 60's is a testament to its role.

  10. Better in what?  Which version vs. which version? Makes a very big difference!  Apache A or the Longbow D version? Cobra A or the lastest W model? Doing what?

    (I hate vague questions!)
