Which high definition camcorder ?

Hello, ok, i know alot of people have asked this question but with new camcorders coming out all the time i was wondering which would best suit my purpose?

I am going on holiday soon and want a High def camcorder. It must be hard disk or flash (no tape or cd) it must be high def and it must be approx £600 or less but may consider a little more. I would preffer a light built in and excellent quality footage of course. I use sony vegas for my editing and have had a jvc 3ccd 60 gig hard disk camcorder but didn't like the way it saved in .MOD files so i got rid of it. Please can someone suggest a camcorder or even one that will be coming out in the next 2 months that i should wait for? many thanks for all your replies :)

We have the sony hdr cx-7. Its very easy to use, has a night feature so you can still record in the dark and is very small and lightweight.  My husband always puts it in his pocket.
