  1. In heavy oil, I found the Ultimate and Total Inferno to be the best performing and hooking balls in that series.  I also liked the PBA Infernos from 05-06 and 06-07 with the solid reactive coverstocks, the early Raging and Smokin' or the newer Radical or Scorchin' Infernos.

I've used Brunswick product since the early 80's and have gone through the rubber (Johnny Petraglia LT-48), urethane (Rhino series) and now reactive resin/particle and proactive coverstock (Monster to Inferno) type bowling balls.

For maximum performance on oily lanes, I use a dull surface (1000 grit or coarser) and the RICO drilling with "pin in the palm" (more on that performance drilling at brunsnick.com) or the drilling on the drill sheet showing early roll and maximum hook for the bowling style that closely matches yours.  Also, check Bowling Ball Reviews for info on the Inferno series and Brunswick Bowling for drill sheets and stats on the Infernos.

    Good luck!
