Which horse...? Help!?

So I have a show coming up on the 9th. I'm doing a w/t/c crossrail class. I usually ride a chestnut QH mare named CC in all my shows and lessons, but lately I have been riding a Morgan gelding named Bob. I really like jumping Bob better than CC, but so far I have only ridden him like 3 or 4 times, nothing compared to the billion times I have ridden CC. I really want to take Bob in the show, but my instructor says that my EQ is better on Bob, but he isnt a hunter and CC is. I will post videos of me riding each of them and you can decide what you think would be best.

Me riding/jumping Bob: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tUhInpWxm...

Which one should I take in the show? HELP!

*These are both school horses, I dont own them.*

  1. I would say to ride CC just because you are used to her. I didn't watch the videos, but I'm going on what you said in your paragraph. You haven't ridden Bob much, so you don't know what to expect from him.

  2. the video links didn't work. You should probably ride CC since you are familiar with her and know how she reacts to different things. It also depends on what you're entering in. If it's hunting use CC, if it's not hunting and you're really comfortable with Bob, you might want to use him. I would say use CC, but it's totally up to you and your instructor.

  3. It won't let me see them

  4. Talk to your trainer and see if you can enter both horses.

But personally, I would go with CC because you have been riding her more and you know what to expect from her.

  5. talk to your trainer enter twice with two different horses...lol

its not about how you look its about how you feel with the horse your riding you may look terrible and feel good or the oposite i think feeling matteres so much more take bob he is the one you want to bring and don't lett worrys hold you back

  6. If your w/t/c crossrails class is an Eq class, ride Bob.

If it's a Hunter class. ride CC.

  7. The URL contained a malformed video ID.

    this is what youtube said

  8. the links arent working but id take bob...its all about who you feel more confidant on and not necessilary winning...tell ur trainer tht, i have ridden many jumper horses in hunters and not even placed(haha)but i didnt care cuz i was building my confidance at shows and once u do that then you can take CC.

    good luck! =]]

  9. I clicked the link and it says the videos are "malformed"

  10. The links don't work for me either...I would take Bob if your EQ is better, and you like jumping him better :) It isn't about winning it is about having fun (yeah I know it ia hard to think like that but you should lol)

If your instuctor insist you take CC then take her...it isn't like you hyate her. Then, again, if you have a choice take Bob xD

  11. I'd take the horse you know. I'm really not a fan of people taking horses they are unfamiliar with to a show. Everything is different and new there, and if you don't know the horse, it's just waiting for trouble! Once you're more familiar with Bob, take him. :)

  12. I'm unable to watch the links but let me say this.

This is not the Olympics and tehre is probably not any great cash prize for first place.  I would take Bob simply because it's all about learning and having new experiences.  Does it really matter if you're not top of the class every time out?  You're still showing and still having a good time right?  Think of it as a learning experience.

    Good luck!

  13. Videos aren't working for me...?

Your instructor knows you better than any stranger on the 'net, and she knows the horses better than you, me, or anyone. I'd go with what she says.
