  1. Isaac's on MacCurtain street is lovely and right in the middle of Cork City (it's also above one of the nicest restaurants in Cork).

  2. The Roachestown Park is a lovely hotel, set in it's own grounds near Douglas on the outskirts of the city. It's a 4* hotel so the accommodation is good and the staff are excellent. There is a reasonable restaurant on site and you can also eat in the bar if you just want a snack.

    DIRECTIONS

    From the Bus Station - Come out of the Bus Station and turn left. Follow the River along. Pass the first Bridge and cross over the second bridge to the right - Christy Ring Bridge - opposite the Opera House, and turn left. Cross the Street and turn up the hill to the Right. The Dominican Centre is on the corner. This is Upper John Street. Continue up the hill to the Traffic Lights. At the lights there are Steps up to the Hostel.

    **Just ask for the Shandon Bells - a square Church Tower with a Fish on top!! The famous local Landmark. We are under it!!

    Good place, Great Value. Toilet facilities could do with a renovation. Staff a bit rude a kicking out time. Would definitely use again though.

    a bar would be nice for those who like a drink but don't want to venture out in the evening. We had a lovely stay with you and would recommend the hostel to others
