My husband and I are thinking about going to Vegas for his 40th Birthday. We want to know which hotel has the most relaxing, romantic rooms and/or swimming pool areas. We don't care about the food, public areas or gambling, we just want a nice place to relax! And it has to be on the strip!

  1. Venetian Casino & Resort Hotel

    Wynn Hotel

    Caesars Palace Hotel

    ...

  2. If you are going for a combination of good rooms and good pool, Mandalay Bay, the Mirage, or the MGM Grand tend to score high on both counts.  Keep in mind, though, that pools in Vegas can be crowded and anything but relaxing.  The Mirage's pool area is less play oriented than the other two, while Mandalay Bay and MGM Grand come close to being waterparks.  If you're on a budget, check various online sites for the best deals you can find, then call the hotel directly and see if you can get them to beat the price.  If the cost is still too high, the Flamingo has one of the most popular pools in Vegas, but the rooms aren't as nice as at the other three properties.

  3. Bellagio and the Venetian are both awesome, but expect to pay a lot. Rooms are not cheap. You're only 40 once though so why not splash out.

  4. Bellagio but it's not the most affordable. In close second is the Mandalay Bay. Beautiful and very affordable.

  5. I think for what you want, the Venetian or its newer sibling, the Palazzo, are your best bets. They both have huge standard rooms and big swimming pools.

Plus, they are both have romantic atmospheres. And, they are far enough away from some of the nosier places on the Strip so you can really enjoy some peace and quite (well, as peaceful and quiet as the Las Vegas Strip can get, anyway).

There's also plenty to do in these properties, from shopping to gondola rides to shows, including Blue Man Group and Phantom.

The only drawback is price. Depending on when you go, what type of room you want, and whether or not you're booking a package deal, you'll be looking at an average of about $300-$400/night on weekends.

The Bellagio's rooms are smaller but are also very nice. They also have an elaborate pool and hot tubs, and at least one pool is heated and open year-round. Their rooms are usually as expensive as the Venetian, again depending on when you go, etc.

If you are on a tighter budget, try Paris. It's also romantic, although the rooms are not nearly as nice as the other two properties, and the pool is small (you can get a poolside massage, however).

For the ultimate relaxing poolside experience, consider renting a cabana ahead of time so they won't be sold out once you get there.

Good luck and enjoy your trip!

    Mike

  6. Bellagio, Mandalay Bay and MGM are very nice IMO. Before you go check the current hotel promotion codes on http://www.vegas-hotels-online.com

  7. Check www.lasvegasnow.com

I would select Venetiain or Palazzo or Wynn.
