My boyfriend and I are planning to go to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico during the Spring Break 2008. It is our first time to go to Cabo, and we do not know the great places we need to see. We will not have a car in Cabo, so I need a place that is near the main attractions, romantic, relax, and full of good restaurants. I need recommendations from those of you who love to travel!!! A website of the hotel will be great, so I can check the rates.

  1. Hola!  I can definately recommend a place to stay, but you kinda contradicted yourself.   It gets pretty wild down here at Spring Break, but you said you wanted romantic and relaxing....some of the resorts closest to CSL will be in high gear catering to the SB partiers, so I'll give you a few choices.

If you want to be close to the action then the Melia CSL or the Riu Palace are your best choices.  They are within walking distance of shopping, restaurants and nightlife and are very popular with the young crowds.  (the Melia hosted an episode of Laguna beach).  They are also situated beachfront with lots of water activities and lots of places to people watch.  You can also walk the marina malecon or book tour activities (fishing, snorkeling, whale watching, ATV...etc)  These resorts are farthest from the airport but closest to the town so they are the best option for those without a car.

Your next option is quieter, but more romantic.  The town of San jose del cabo is about 20 minutes from CSL but it is not a party place.  It is more charming, with art galleries and world class restaurants and shopping.  The resorts in the area that are popular for honeymooners and that are the Crowne Plaza and the Royal Solaris.  Very lovely, right on the beach and walking distance to town.  You can also catch a reliable bus into CSL or to the snorkeling beaches with ease.  I personally love SJD and live here.  I find CSL too crazy.

Then the last option is the area we call "the corridor"  Its the beach area that is between SJD and CSL.  Here you will find beautiful resorts, such as Dreams, the Marquis, the Westin Regina, the Hilton, the Melia Real, etc etc.  All are fantastic places and all have their good and bads.  You can take taxis or buses if you want to go to either town.

If this is your first time in Cabo, I would recommend staying at a 4-5 star all inclusive.  That way you have everything taken care of and can just enjoy yourself worry free.

    Have a great time!

  2. PUEBLO BONITO RESORTS!! They have 4 excellent resorts in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.  Ive been staying at Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach Resort and Spa.  I would give it 5 stars.  It is huge...They have 4 pools.  They dont allow you to go in the water at the beach because it is too rough.  But there is a shuttle that takes you to the sister hotels which has accessible beachs.  Plus you can walk to town from there.  Here is the website for this resort: www.pueblobonito.com

  3. Try this link and see if it helps out at all.  It shows many different hotels and they even have a tab about airfare/hotel packages.

Actually, the second link is part of the first link.  If you scroll down to where it says Exclusively Mexico (by the big, blue rectangle that says Mexico), that is that link that shows the different hotels.

Just click on the Cabo tab and you will see the many, many breathtaking hotels and they have a tab at the top that shows prices.  Of course you need to put your travel dates in to get the prices for when you will be traveling.

The link right below that (Si-Mexico Hotel And Resort Travel Guide) will show you the tab that has the airfare/hotel packages.

The nice thing about this site is that it gives you all kinds of good information in regards to Mexico.  Things like Mexico laws, the fact that you'll be paying for a traveler's visa (which will be included in your airfare) and many other things.

And, just in case you aren't aware of this, traveling by air requires a passport.
