One house is in a good location. Opposite school, wetlands, walking distance to station and shops and beach. Prize is $100 000 cheaper then the other house of consideration. This house has an ugly bathroom, cheap kitchen, old.

Other house near wetlands, further away from shops, schools and beach. House in perfect condition with added separate bungalow. Luxury lifestyle. It is $100 000 more expensive then the other house and stretches our limits.

  1. I have one word for you to think about "FORCLOSURE". If you want to worry about paying your bills on time every month and if it doesn't bother you when your credit rating starts to drop then by all means  try to keep up with the Jones as the old saying goes.

I will guarantee you that something unplanned will pop up and deplete the little extra you have at the end of the month if not more then what?

  2. Live within your means.

  3. Go for the gold.  You deserve the best.

  4. The cheaper house. A $100K is a lot of money and you could do a lot of fixing up for $100K. Also, think about the interest you will be saving over 15 - 30 years.

  5. Buy the house that is $100,000 cheaper.  You will have lower payments, and will be able to fix up the house to suit your needs and wants.
