In science our teacher asked us to answer the question. Which Industry refused to go metric even when the other industries said they would?

  1. petroleum. It's still barrels and most refineries still use english units.

    Surveying in the US.


  2. I would think it would be the Department of Transportation.  Just imagine how much it would cost to change all the signs across the United States.
