Use an online service that has prices for over 100 airlines and 190 countries. Vayama is one.

Try either www.priceline.com or www.kayak.com. BUT dont be fooled by internet booking, a real person/travel agent is just as cheap they make commision of the travel you do and they have the same deals the interent does somtime cheaper. www.cavestravel.com is a site that I use frequently for business and pleasure. They are friendly cheap and convenient and it allows them to do the work that I dont have time for.
