  1. Baked...they taste better

  2. i always boil mine first so they cook in the midddle, then bake for a crispy edge effect

  3. i would say "no potatoe" because of the carbs however, when I did eat potatoes it would be "red potatoes" when it was reg potatoes, it would definitely be baked.

  4. Baked =]

  5. i like it baked because its really soft inside

  6. It depends on the usage. Boiled potatoes are typically what's used for mashed potatoes, potato salad, and around roasts.

You can use baked potatoes for mashed potatoes; you just have to scoop out the insides and then gently fold them into the hot milky stuff.

I wouldn't use a baked potato for potato salad, though. Gross.

  7. Baked tastes better because it offers a "roasted" flavor vs. boiled which results in too moist potato flesh.  Baked, especially if you rub the potato skin with vegetable oil.  Place on an alum. foiled baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven at 400 degrees for 45 to 55 minutes or until a two-tine fork goes through the potato easily.  Yum!

By the way, potatoes have a lot of vitamins and receive a bad rap.  It is really what people put on the potatoes that is unhealthy.

  8. Baked keeps more of the nutrients than boiling. I prefer baked...and the leftovers make great fried potatoes!

I also bake my sweet potatoes for my sweet potato pies and my sweet potato casserole. Boiling the sweet potatoes tend to make them too watery.

  9. baked because they seem more crisper than boiled.
