I'd say Liu Xiang B/C from what I've read & watched about him, he's been training for 8 years to be a Track & Field athlete.

Since he's one of very few Chinese athletes in Track & Field, I'd guess him! I think triumph in the Olympics brings more fans & glory than basketball does.

Yao Ming is still great, though!

They're both contributing for China. We like them both. They just work in different areas, but they are both athletes and stars and contributors.
