  1. The bandwidth of the N-cards (802.11n) is much greater, as is the range, than that of the G-cards (802.11g). But you'll need an 802.11n-based router to notice a difference in performance.

Typically you'd take it up with your Internet Service Provider, and they can set you up with the appropriate router hardware.

  2. Vote up for Retired and Glad.

If you don't have a wireless-N router or don't plan to upgrade to the standard anytime soon, the N card is rather pointless to pay for. Personally, I'd wait for something else to come out in the future. Wireless-N doesn't seem like a big step up from Wireless-G.

  3. So far, everyone is right about the G and N specs.  I would choose the Intel based on the features it has.  Dell drivers sometimes add stuff you don't need (extra services).  I prefer to use Intel networking cards over any other brand when I can.

  4. All of them will work fine. 802.11g is slower than 802.11n, but the current speed of an internet connection is slower than both, so it doesn't make much difference for web browsing. For future-proofing though, I would get the Dell Wireless-N card.

  5. The 1395 "G" mini card will get you all that you need.

If you don't have a "N" router, the "N" cards will only work at "G" speed.
