I want to start riding a bicycle again, it has been over ten years. I am looking at the Raleigh 4.0 and 4.5 (both are around $380), and the Mongoose Crossway 350 and 450 ($300 and $430).
I think that the main difference between the Detour 4.0 and 4.5 is that the 4.0 has a fork that has suspension, and it has a Shimano Acera rear derailleur, and the 4.5 has a solid fork and a Shimano Alivio rear derailleur. Which is better?
The Crossway 350 also has a fork with suspension and a Shimano Acera rear derailleur, and the 450 has a fork with suspension and a SRAM SX.5 rear derailleur.
Will I notice a difference in derailleurs? Will one break or fail sooner than the others? I have included links so that you can see the specs. Thanks!
