Which is a better buy? an audi r8 or an aston martin db9?

Question

i know the strenghts and weaknesses of both. but ive always wanted an aston martin, the vanquish to be exact, but that cars come and gone. and the db9 is the next best thing. then i saw the r8, and its wonderful. the audi is engineering perfection and the aston is a lovely gt car. i just cant decide.....

They are different cars. One is a relatively inexpensive supercar and the other is a high end Grand Tourer. The DB9 is also about $50-80K more. You can also find used Vanquishes. I'm an Audi w***e so I'd go with the R8, but if you wanted an Aston get an Aston. h**l you could get a V8 Vantage and the R8 :P

ASTON MARTIN DB9!!!

There my absolute favorite and would be picked over a lambo any day. Audi R8's are nice but Aston Martin's have so much more class then the R8.

bro, if u got the money to by any of therse cars, u sure are one lucky guy! I've never driven any of these cars, but i've herd from very reliable sources that the paddle shift gearbox in DB9 is horrible. All the admiration that you have for that car will dissapear in less than a week if you drive it hard. although the R8 has it's weaknesses, but it packs the punch of audi's le-mans racing pedigree. Not true in the case of DB9, the car that aston races is derrived from the DB9 and not the other way round. besides the R8 is based on the Gallardo platform, which i think is the best italian car, better than the ferraris.

I'd go with the DB9.    You don't see alot of them on the roads but Audi's are everywhere. The DB9 makes a better exhaust note and there is more performance behind the Aston.
