Which is a better car?

Question

I am loooking for a car preferably an SUV i have listed the TOYOTA INNOVA AND CHEVY TAVERA but may extend till a CRV but a CRV does not have a third row. i need ample space and good cars on indian roads....is INNOVA the right choice????

innova is better choice over tavera...not only in look also bcoz innova has gud features over tavera lk interior designing and engine maintainance.

Actually speaking both of these does not fall under SUV category. In india we call them as SUV, Innvoa falls into Van category and Tavera is also the same. But if you ask me between these two any time Innova is better. But personally if you ask me, the SUV you can look for Diesel - Grand Vitara (Maruti Suzuki) excellent one but expensive, Scorpio, Tata Sumo Grandae (value for money). The frist two are best bet.

If you are looking at Petrol Honda CRV is the best. Hope this helps.

with the accelerating fuel rates it is better to lookout for a economical SUV. your options are wonderful all the options have some goods as well as bads.

it is very better to omit Chevrolet Tavera from ur list.. then think of innova and mahindra Scorpio in the below 10 lakh category... both are equally superb ..diesel cars are preferred. Innova comes from the Japanese giant TOYOTA which has good mileage-in-class and good handling and performance... Scorpio doesn't lag being the engine developed in association with French car maker  RENAULT... if you can extend ur budget go for  Hyundai tucson or Honda CR-V... and CR-V has no  diesel option and hyundai has... rest is left  to you.. mahindra scorpio is the one which brought fortune to the company try it a mix of indo-french tech best suited for Indian terrains.

What I read from your question is that, your basic need is space.  

I would say Innova is JUST the  right answer in this category, as there is not much choice.

INNOVA is the best choice for the indian roads

its roomy and can handle 7-8 people. it is reliable and ahs a good fuel economy

the top end V-variant comes at abt. 11 lacs and if u want 7 seats opt for the captain seats for the middle row ..

If you want a great,high end looking car then get the CRV and as you mentioned it loses in space  CRV also has a gr8 engine but fuel economy of innova is better

tavera isnt in the league of innova or crv it can be compared with sumo or max with scorpio

Have you tried Consumer Reports at your local library?  Road and Track?  Also many other on line sources.  Suggest you google both then make a comparison of pros and cons.  Then just take the girlfriend or wife and see which one SHE wants.....and there ya go.
