Health Insurance Agent's receive a level commission every month. So every month you will receive the same commission and at renewal you may even receive a higher commission depending if the rates went up. As long as you retain your business you will make lots of money. It takes a while to build up a book of business but once you have it you will make money with doing little work.

Insurance agents have a steady clientele, that pay premiums every week,month,year,etc. that they make a commission off of.

Whereas the realtor is always searching for the next client.

Many agents are financial advisors as well...So on top of the insurance, you may be able to sell securities which produce a residual income.

Real Estate agents get paid only for a one time sale...A Real Estate Broker, that could be a different story as you have many agents working for you, and you get paid everytime they sell...

I would go with Insurance.
