i dont live down there but i do kno that miamis gots some pretty bad parts to it but u got miami beach n all that n them big *** houses n all that but orlando i think is alot more mild id like to live in miami myself tho

i would say orlando becouse for me ilive in miami and i have visited orlando a bunch and its much safer than over in miami there are alot of problems in miami but dont get me wrong its nice cuz you have alot of people around you.

I wouldn't live in either city.  Both are extremely crime ridden.

Now if you're looking at which city has better suburbs, I'd have to say Orlando.  Plus, if you don't speak Spanish, it will be very difficult to get along in Miami-Dade County.

I travel with work, all up and down the eastern states.  I have spent over a year in both locations within the past three years.

Here's what I think of both cities,,,

MIAMI;

VERY high crime rate

TREMENDOUS amount of traffic with major road rage issues

Indequate major roads

MOST beaches, including South Beach are way over rated and hyped

Bad attitudes abound

only two seasons: hot and not so hot

ONE of the worst airports in the country,,,

interesting architecture

some really great people once you get to know them

Little Havana

awesome dining places

an excellent train museum that is almost lost to tourists

ORLANDO;

Too many tourists with one thing on their minds

REALLY RUDE full time population

seems everything is geared towards make believe,,,

centrally located

decent airport

awesome dining

there is two and half seasons there, not just two, as the weather can turn cool

that's how I see it from my perspective

hmm..if you're looking for excitement and DANGER Miami...if you are looking for excitement and DANGER at your "convenience" Orlando..just think MIAMI=BROOKLYN Orlando=LONG ISLAND (NY) :)

i'm sorry, but if you're asking someone not to be biased, than don't ask which is better.  you have to state you critera for your judgments, like housing, jobs, entertainment.  that just doesn't work.  and we also don't know what you're looking for in each city.  can't help ya.

There are too many differences that would have to be considered to make the best choice.  Both cities have much to offer.  Depends on what kind of work you do or want to do; what your finances are; what languages you speak, etc.  I lived in Miami for years and years and loved it.  It is a very diverse cultural mecca offering hundreds of different types of jobs, living arrangements, entertainment and restaurant choices and other opportunities.  For a professional, making big bucks and for one who enjoys the finer things in life, Miami is the better choice.

if you're single/want to party/etc: miami

if you're married/kids/not into partying: orlando
