well if you have allot of people in your house, three 8" would be ideal, or if you love pizza and can eat it for days.

The 16" pizza has approx. 201 sq. inches.

The 8" pizza has approx. 51 sq. inches --- multiplied by 3 pizza's would be 153 sq. inches.

In conclusion, the 16" is a better deal.

A 16" pizza is four times the size of an 8" pizza, but has twice the circumference. It probably depends whether you like the crust better than the middle.
