I can get a 09 Corolla for 18000 inc taxes but the car is a demo driven 1200 miles. Also the model is a LE with the keyless entry sat radio harness, cruise control, 6 cd changer, abs, stability control. Now after hard bargaining the dealer has agreed to a price of 18000 which includes about 1500 in taxes. Due to increased demand of such cars we can't bargain much but in your opinion is this a good deal?

Or

I can get a second hand 07 corolla with 13,000 miles on it for 12,000. the car was in an accident and the bumper had to be replaced. also there is minor cosmetic damage. this car includes most features except abs and traction control.

We are gonna buy a car for the long term so please advise accordingly.

  1. Get the new car.  It's accedent free and has virtually no miles.  18k is a great deal for an LE, and the 1200 will mean nothing when you have 30k on it.

  2. get the new one

  3. Buy the 2009  model ... you don't know what hidden damge there could be from a car thats been in an accident. For the long term I would go with NEW.
