  1. They are both about the same......if you are an American citizen you don't need a passport to go to San Juan, but you need one to go to Mexico.

  2. San Juan... Mexico City is inland... therefore no beaches. No fresh air either, and I hear the altitude is a problem for some people. Plus it's overly congested/populated.

San Juan has the beach, museums, historical monuments (remember San Juan was colonized before Mexico was)... if you're traveling from the states, no passport is required, but I would take one anyway in case you wanted to go to the British Virgin Islands on a quick day trip. Oh yeah, another benefit to San Juan...island hopping.

San Juan also has casinos. Near San Juan... the largest radio telescope in the world, the third largest cave system in the world.... the list goes on.

If you get arrested... jails are better, the police won't try to bribe you, and you don't have to deal with the U.S. Embassy.

Downside to San Juan? Hurricanes... and maybe crime, but crime is worse in Mexico.

  3. Dubai Beach, Jebil Ali Golf and Spa Hotel by far.  Try www.dreamticket.com for all your exotic holidays.  Excellent website I promise.

  4. san juan. more of the carib feeling. plus alot more things to do. plus you can swim with the wild dolphins for FREE.

  5. San Juan in my opinion. Safer and cleaner.

  6. It totally depends what you want to do. Mexico City is one of the largest cities in the world. It has world-class museums, great cathedrals, Aztec ruins, numerous neighborhoods ranging from very poor to very wealthy.  You'll never see it all in one trip.  San Juan is a small city right on the beach.  It has many beachfront hotels and at one end, a charming colonial area with cobblestone streets and lots of historic buildings (many now turned into boutiques and good restaurants).  If you are looking for a big city vacation, go to Mexico City.  If you want a beach vacation with a little culture easily thrown in, then go to San Juan.  Both have the potential to be very enjoyable destinations.

  7. Cruise to Mexico!!!  Look for great DEALS at this site:

    Bon Voyage!

  8. san juan for sure. mexico has one of the top ten highest crime rates in the WORLD, and tourism just adds to it.

  9. Been to both, different  all togather. Mexico City, very hi altitude,  lots of parks museums, etc, 'city'....  Where San Juan,  beaches, parties, casinos,  great island food. Enjoy both of them, depends  on what your looking for.  Mexico, sophisticated, San Juan, flip flops....

  10. Definately San Juan.
