  1. Biology. Otherwise, you'll still have to make up the Chemistry's, A&P's and physics youll need to know to pass the MCAT. There are MCAT practice test online to give you an idea of the knowledge you'll need to possess before you even get into med school. Good Luck!

  2. Honestly, it really doesn't matter as long as you have completed the pre-med requirements before going to medical school.  You can do just as well with a background in either one.

However, I personally was a Biology major, and I found a lot of my undergrad biology classes to be very helpful during med school.  For example, I had already taken human anatomy, physiology, microanatomy, and neurobiology before I started med school.  Although we went WAY more into detail in med school than in college, I at least had a little bit of background information on the subjects before starting those classes in med school.  I also took some psychology classes in college, which helped a lot when studying for some of our psychopathology and psychiatry lectures.

So, having said all that... I think you should do what you enjoy as long as you meet the pre-med requirements, but keep in mind that you might have a slight edge at the beginning of some of your med school courses if you major in biology.  You'll have to work your butt off in med school either way, but I thought that being a bio major was helpful. :)
