Which is a better photo?

Question

Im in a digital photography at school and we had to take pictures of "somebody we love" so i took them of my cousin. We need to pick our best one but im not sure which.

(It was a b&w assigment)

the 2nd one has a bit more balance to it.  The first one is a bit difficult to look at because it's mostly bright white.

i like the first one - the second one looks to posey and like ur taking a senior picture or something...if that makes sense. i think they're both really good though

The second one. A good tip: make sure the focus is always on the eyes.

I like the second one. I think they're both a little bright, but the second one is definitely nicer.

Definitely the 2nd one. It has a lot of personality and the angle is great. The white areas are blown out but overall, it's a very good picture.
