Which is a better place to do MS (mech) -India or US?

Keeping the financial aspect in mind, Will it be possible to finish my MS and come back to India immedaitely? how easy is it to get a scholarship there?

All i can tell you is . MS or MBA or just graduation. The US is a better choice any day ! Indian students are very intelligent ... and nowadays, they dont have to worry about finances also due to student loans and scholarships and lots of other means. Therefore my advice to you is .. dont think twice. If you want to go to the US then dont let anything stop you. It is an excellent choice my friend.

Technology wise (MS) US is better. US is best since technology wise they are in better position and u r competing world wide but in india its not like this. Consider the amount also, since it will come nearly 10 to 15 lacs. If u got job over there then u can repay it in very short period of time. If u r not getting job or coming to india, then u have make sure that u get a highly paid job(Around 6 to 8 lacs per year). If u r planning for MBA do here(India is best).

         My friends are doing MS there. It was good to study there. But u have to do lot of hard work then only u will shine..

Abt scholarship: If u choose good university then the possibility for getting scholarship is less or u have to score very good mark in GRE. U will get a job inside the campus so u can earn around 600$ per month it will very much sufficient for one month.
