  1. ya the pioneer is the better brand but that subs is way to powerful but the other sub is c**p . basicly the pioneer is way to powerful for what your looking at 3000rms is insane, also you will need a 3000rms amp which will not be cheap probley around 3k

and a few more grand to make your car ready for that much power. basicly there is no need for that much power unless you do comps. and the other sub is horrible don't get it. for a person who is looking for a good system i would say 300 to 1000 rms is probley your best bet it realy comes down to how much you can spend and you you want a loudeer system or better quality sound.

if you want a louder system(SLP) go with probably kicker ,  Pioneer, alpine

and if you want sound quality(sq) i would probley go with JL there expensive though

  2. The first one

  3. Pioneer Premier TS-W8102SPL, by far. it will cost alot and require space though

  4. Without actually running the Small Thiel parameters (actual performance characteristics of the speaker) I would say the pioneer. But do you have a motor home? a 15 in a proper enclosure is much too big for anything short of a van.

Small Thiel parameters define what type and size of enclosure the speaker will have to be in so that it will produce acurate sound. typically a 10 inch woofer in the correct enclosure will produce better and much louder sound than a 15 in in the wrong enclosure.

The last time I made and enclosure for a 15 it was a ported design at over 6 cubic feet of space versus a 10 in ported enclosure at 2.2 cubic feet of space. Both of these produced a near flat response down to about 42Hz. With the 15 only marginally louder.

    Rule of thumb

Ported enclosure gives the broadest range in a near flat response

Sealed enclosure is larger than a ported enclosure with a downward angled response getting much quieter as the frequency drops.

Isobaric can be tuned to produce a hump in the response curve where ever you need to reinforce sound  pressure levels that are missing from other woofers.

With all that said the pioneer appears to have a much more robust surround (the outer ring holding the cone to the frame) a larger magnet structure which means it most likely has a larger voicecoil and stronger spider than the 15 bling thing. The smaller cone of a 10 will suffer far less distortion and Pioneer usually backs their product very well.

  5. Second one because its cheaper.

  6. choose your speakers for how long they wwill last, and what price you can get for the biggest speakers, or smallest speakers with maximum output. The best speakers are medium sized which produce run off like 32 Watts. Go with the sonics.

  7. The first one. Pioneer is the better product. Also the second subwoofer is partly made out of some type of plastice material which over time will crack. The first one will also flex better when you are really playing a lot of low frequencies on the subwoofer.

  8. Pioneer is better....Look at the Cerwin Vega Stroker subs...these handle loads of power also.

  9. One costs $100 and the other almost $700. You can't compare these two.

  10. definetly the pioneer the other one is S****y

  11. Honestly, I haven't come across either item.  It would be safe to say if you were to ask what I might come across first, it would probably be the Pioneer.

Pioneer is at least a respectable brand in the car audio industry where American Pro is not so much.  That Pioneer sub you're looking at is quite a serious sub within their product line.  The Pioneer is designed to withstand 3000W continuous power while that American Pro is designed to withstand 300W.  That alone should lead you to believe you're comparing apples & oranges on the two subs.
