Question:

Which is a better system? 4 or 6 points for passing touchdowns?

I've been the Commissioner of a Fantasy Football league for 5 years now. I've always had passing touchdowns at 6 points for Quarterbacks. I know that the yahoo scoring default is 4 points Is there anyone who could argue for or against either for me so I may make decision.

Also.... I have always found it unfair that some in the league were on the computer all day following free agent players. They've always been able to add/drop while others had to wait until they got home to check stuff out on the league. Does anyone have any ideas as to how to make this fair. Are all players on waivers once the season starts? or are all players free agents leaving them open for the all day computer guys to snatch them up first come first serve?

  1. 4 because it puts more focus on rb's and receivers

NO ONE besides a qb will get anywhere near 40 td's so they'll still have signifcantly more points.

it really just depends on whatyou wanna base it around

    1 player(qb) or a steady top 3.

don't get me wrong, i had brady last year and it was nice but it's too much to depend on. one week he has a bad week and you lose

  2. 6 points

my reasoning is: ẇhy use less points, when you could get more? More is better.

  3. I was in the same boat weve had it at six points for the last five years and it seems to always make the QBs more valuable than they should be. Last year the team who drafted brady ran away with it. It was a fluke but i switched it this year to 5 points,

You can put a cap on how many pickups they can make so if they think they only have so many to use they might use them more wisely. Or waivers so that each team gets a chance at the guy, but like the draft it will go in order who gets them depending on their draft order.

  4. I personally like 6 points for TD's. I have my league a high scoring league w/ fractional points, points on rushing attempts half a point for a recever cathing that ball. I find itmuch funner when the score is higher and more categories come into play instead of a basic scoring system.

You can set the number of mover per week for each team and I think that the waiver wire can be reset for each week depending on who is in first and last place. Instead of the default way where whoever drafts last has the number one pick second to last pick gets second waiver pick etc.. Im not really sure if that helps, but hope it does.
